About Our Training

Wellness can only happen in community! Each year KCTI holds an annual conference in the fall in order to support space for community members to tap into their authentic selves. We recognize that institutional racism silences individual's genius in places of education, career, family and everyday interactions. Our conferences are intended to up lift BIPOC's (black, indigenous, People of color), and other marginalized communities. We interact with community members with intent to ask provoking questions that will impact our awareness, propel us towards sustainable equity for communities of difference and into action that surpasses repetitive dialogue.

Wondering if this training is for you?

Are you a...

  • Student

  • Health and educational professional (Teachers, Social workers, Therapists, corrections, ext.)

  • Community Activist

  • BIPOC

  • White Ally

Participants get the opportunity to engage and learn through lecture, community reflection, song/poetry/dance performances and more. By recognizing the intersecting layers of our racial, gender, and other identities, we hope to inspire each other to turn towards our blind-spots mindfully. Through compassion and determination for understanding, we are able to act intentionally towards growing our cross-difference relationships for a healthier lifestyle.
